Stage 1

We begin with an initial assessment carried out by a member of one of our ecological consultants. They will identify the three key information groups:

  • Identifying what habitat is available.

  • The habitats classification.

  • The size of the habitats.

Using the above at an early stage we will begin discussions with neighbouring landowners and other stake holders to ensure BNG is achievable and identify the best route for enhancing the local habitat will be.

Stage 2

Using the data from stage one we will begin assessing the condition of the habitat through an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) carried out by a Chartered Ecologist. The findings of this will assist in identifying options for enhancement and offsite improvement/mitigation.

Stage 3

Using the findings from stage 1 & 2 we are able to implement this into our masterplan enhancing where possible and off setting only where necessary we can create an overall gain for biodiversity. Through facing the impact of the development on biodiversity we are able to to provide a development that not only creates a place where people are happy to live but also a development which allows nature to prosper.
