Bridgewater East Allocation

The Bridgewater east allocation is designated to create a minimum of 1400 dwellings along side the below key concepts:

  1. Improved road linking the A372 Westonzoyland Road and A39 Bath Road comprising the downgrading of Bower Lane and construction of a new spine road

  2. Affordable housing in accordance with the Council’s requirements, subject to viability

  3. Land reserved for educational provision

  4. Serviced site for community hub that could include hall and/or convenience store

  5. Public open space, and formal and informal recreation

  6. Comprehensive green infrastructure

We have recently successfully been granted full reserved matters planning permission for the first 260 dwelling and the access roundabout which will serve the entirety of the allocation. We are now moving on to the northern sections of the allocation with a target to have an application in 2022.
